Augment ® Vet Bolus is active against penicillin sensitive gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It is effective against various disease like mastitis, metritis, gastroenteritis, salmonellosis, calf scour, pharyngitis, bronchopneumonia, umbilical infection, foot root, fever, campilobacilosis, urinary tract infections, black quarter, haemorrhagic septicemia, joint infection etc.
Augment ® Vet Bolus is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic that belongs to the beta-lactam group. Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis by inhibiting transpeptidase and carboxipeptidase enzymes of bacteria. On the other hand, Clavulanic acid is a beta lactamase inhibitor, used in conjunction with beta-lactamase susceptible antibiotics to treat infections caused by beta-lactamase producing organisms

Augment ® Vet Bolus is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to Amoxicillin and/or Clavulanic Acid.
Augment Vet Bolus is a veterinary bolus containing Amoxicillin Trihydrate and Clavulanic Acid (800 mg) from SK+F.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Augment Vet Bolus in dog is 10–20 mg/kg, given orally, twice daily for 3-5 days.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Augment Vet Bolus in cat is 10–20 mg/kg, given orally, twice daily for 3-5 days.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Augment Vet Bolus in cattle is 5–10 mg/kd, given orally, twice daily for 3-5 days.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Augment Vet Bolus in buffalo is 5–10 mg/kg, given orally, twice daily for 3-5 days.
In cattle, the withdrawal period for Augment Vet Bolus is meat 42 days and milk 3 days. For milk withdrawal period up to 80 hours is better.
