Indication

Augment ® Vet Bolus is active against penicillin sensitive gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It is effective against various disease like mastitis, metritis, gastroenteritis, salmonellosis, calf scour, pharyngitis, bronchopneumonia, umbilical infection, foot root, fever, campilobacilosis, urinary tract infections, black quarter, haemorrhagic septicemia, joint infection etc.

Mode of Action

Augment ® Vet Bolus is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic that belongs to the beta-lactam group. Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis by inhibiting transpeptidase and carboxipeptidase enzymes of bacteria. On the other hand, Clavulanic acid is a beta lactamase inhibitor, used in conjunction with beta-lactamase susceptible antibiotics to treat infections caused by beta-lactamase producing organisms

Augment ® Vet Bolus is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to Amoxicillin and/or Clavulanic Acid.
