Ciprofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, infectious diarrhea caused by organisms such as Shigella dysenteriae and Vibrio cholerae, typhoid fever, intra-abdominal infections, prostatitis, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, gonorrhea, bacterial meningitis, and fever in neutropenic patients associated with bacterial infections. It is also used for surgical prophylaxis in selected cases.

Ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any other quinolone antibiotic.
C flo vet bolus is a veterinary bolus containing Ciprofloxacin (1 gm) from NAVANA.
For treatment, the recommended dose of C flo vet bolus in cattle is 12–15 mg/kg, given orally, twice daily for 3-5 days. Avoid administration of this medicine in animals with renal failure.
In cattle, the withdrawal period for C flo vet bolus is meat 23 days and milk 2 days.
