Envit C

 Emblica officinalis: Emblica officinalis is highly nutritious and is an important dietary source of Vit-C, minerals and amino acids. It contains phenols, including Gallic acid, quercetin, kaempferol, corilagin. Emblica officinalis is rich in two hydrolysable tannins – Emblicanin A & B, which provides gallic acid, egallic acid and glucose. A tannin containing gallic acid, egallic acid and glucose of fruits prevents the oxidation of vitamin and renders highest level of vitamin C. The flavonoids (e.g. quercetin, kaempferol) present in E. officinalis act as strong antioxidant. It counteracts the toxic effects of prolonged exposure to environmental heavy metals. It increases glutathione (GSH) levels and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity in macrophages and decreases free radical production. Due to presence of phenols in E. officinalis it is also effective to detoxify blood from chemicals and harmful toxic substances. Terpenoids of E.officinalis improves lung functions.  Piper longum: Piper longum is certainly one of the most widely used Ayurvedic herbs for enhancing digestion, assimilation and metabolism of food. In a study, it was found that due to presence of piperine Piper longum has significant protective action against gastric ulcer.
