Solution
Floricol-Vet™ solution is indicated for preventive and therapeutic treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections, caused by Florfenicol sensitive micro-organisms such as Actinobaccillus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp. and Streptococcus spp. in animal and poultry. The presence of the disease in the herd should be established before preventive treatment. Medication should be initiated promptly when respiratory disease is diagnosed.
Florfenicol is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic that is effective against most Gram-positive and Gram negative bacteria isolated from domestic animals. Florfenicol, a fluorinated derivative of chloramphenicol, acts by binding to the 50s ribosomal subunit of bacteria, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and is bacteriostatic.
