Cobalt chloride: Helps in ruminal microbial growth and a structural component of Vitamin B12(Cobalamin). Zinc sulphate:A structural component of >200 different enzymes which are involved in carbohydrate, protein & fat metabolism. Calcium propionate: Calcium propionate is hydrolyzed into propionic acid and Ca2+ in the rumen. Propionic acid acts as a precursor of glucose. It helps to alleviate negative energy balance (NEB). Ca2+ involves in nerve transmission & muscle contraction and an essential mineral for blood & milk. Sodium propionate: Sodium propionate increases blood sugar levels & lowers blood ketones and alleviates negative energy balance (NEB). Sodium chloride: Sodium chloride increases saliva.
