Do not give during the first third of pregnancy — albendazole is teratogenic and embryotoxic in early gestation.
Rarely, anorexia or transient diarrhoea. Bone marrow suppression at high or repeated doses.
Contraindicated in early pregnancy. Safe later at recommended doses.
