Indication

Blackleg, foot rot, wound infections, mastitis and other Gram-positive infections.

Contraindications

Penicillin or procaine hypersensitivity. Never give intravenously — procaine causes acute reactions.

Side Effects

Procaine reactions with excitement, ataxia and collapse; injection-site swelling.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Considered safe.
