Augment ® Vet injection is highly effective against penicillin sensitive gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It is effective against various disease like mastitis, metritis, gastroenteritis, salmonellosis, calf scour, pharyngitis, bronchopneumonia, umbilical infection, foot root, fever, campilobacilosis, urinary tract infections, black quarter, haemorrhagic septicemia, joint infection etc.
Augment ® Vet injection is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic that belongs to the beta-lactum group. Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis by inhibiting transpeptidase and carboxipeptidase enzymes of bacteria. On the other hand, Clavulanic acid is a beta lactamase inhibitor, used in conjunction with beta-lactamase susceptible antibiotics to treat infections caused by beta-lactamase producing organisms.

Augment Vet Injection (1.2gm) is a veterinary injection containing Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid (1gm/ampule) from SK+F.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Augment Vet Injection (1.2gm) in cattle is 1 ml/28kg, given IM/SC, once daily for 3-5 days.
In cattle, the withdrawal period for Augment Vet Injection (1.2gm) is meat 25 days and milk 3.25 days. For milk it's 3 days and 6 hours.
