Indication

In Cattle, Sheep & Horses: Babcop®-Vet injection is highly active against Trypanosoma spp., Babesia spp. and Theileria annulata. Phenazone is active against fever especially in cases of Babesiosis.

Mode of Action

The drug targets the cellular structure of the parasites. It selectively binds to the kinetoplast DNA (kDNA) and genetic pathways of the protozoa. By binding to these regions, it permanently blocks the parasite's ability to replicate its DNA and process energy, effectively freezing its replication cycle and killing it.
