Indication

Treatment and prevention of infestation by fleas and ticks in dogs and cats. Fipronil exhibits insecticidal and acaricidal activity against fleas (Ctenocephalides spp), ticks (Rhipicephalus spp., Ixodes spp.) and lice (Trichodectes spp. and Felicola spp.), Neotrombicula autumnalis, Sarcoptes spp. and Cheyletiella spp. in the dog and cat.

Mode of Action

Fipronil Biotransformation In all species, fipronil is mainly metabolized to its sulphone derivative, which also possesses insecticidal and acaricidal properties. Fipronil is an insecticide and acaricide from the phenylpyrazole family inhibits the GABA complex, binding to the ligand-gated chloride channel blockage of pre and post synaptic transfer of chloride ions across the membrane uncontrolled activity of the central nervous system death of insects and acarids.

In order to wet the coat down to the skin, depending on the length of the hair, apply 3 to 6 ml per kg body weight (7.5 to 15 mg of active ingredient per kg body weight) i.e. 2 to 4 pump applications per kg body weight. The product is active for 4 weeks (3 to 5) against Ticks and 2 months against fleas. (1 to 3 depending on the parasite challenge in the animals environment) in dogs. In cats, the product is active for 6 weeks against fleas. Dogs and cats – Less than 5kg 100 ml 6 spraying / kg, Up to 12 / kg in case of long hair. Dogs and cats + More than 5kg 250 ml or 500 ml 2 spraying / kg, Up to 4 / kg in case of long hair
