This is an anticoccidial drug for treatment and control of coccidiosis in poultry. This combination is developed to take the advantage of the synergistic benefits of the three chemicals against a mixed infection of Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria maxima, Eimeria necatrix, Eimeria tenella, Eimeria brunette at relatively safe levels of each drug by itself.
Amprolium is a competitive antagonist of Thiamine. It causes deficiency of Thiamine in protozoan body & stops protozoan metabolism. Sulphaquinoxalin is a competitive antagonist of PABA which stops metabolism of protozoa and other gram-positive & gram-negetive bacteria. Amprolium & Sulphaquinoxalin acts synergistically. Ethopabate increases the spectrum of activity into two fold and overcomes resistance which may be developed by the combination of Amprolium & Sulphaquinoxalin. Vitamin K3 prevents hemorrhage. Vitamin C acts as an anti-stress factor and synthesizes Collagen to repair intestinal ulcer.
