Cotrim-Vet® should not be administered to ruminants with functioning rumen to avoid possible disturbance of the ruminal flora. It is also contraindicated in animal with severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, blood disorders.
Cotrim Vet bolus is a veterinary bolus containing Sulfamethoxazole / Sulphamethoxazole and Trimethoprim (1000 mg/bolus) from SQUARE.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Cotrim Vet bolus in cattle is 0.025 bolus/kg, given orally, once daily. 30 mg/kg body weight or 1 bolus/40-kg body weight daily.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Cotrim Vet bolus in goat is 30 mg/kg, given orally, once daily for 5-7 days. 30mg/kg body weight daily for 5 to 7 days.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Cotrim Vet bolus in sheep is 30 mg/kg, given orally, once daily for 5-7 days. 30mg/kg body weight daily for 5 to 7 days.
