Neoxel®powder has a bactericidal effect, inhibits protein synthesis at the ribosomal level through binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. After oral administration, Neomycin Sulfate is hardly absorbed, the bactericidal effect is mainly provided in the gastrointestinal tract.

Neoxel Vet is a veterinary powder containing Neomycin Sulphate (500 mg/gm) from SK+F.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Neoxel Vet in pet birds is 0.33–1 gm/L, given orally, once daily for 3-5 days. Mix 1 gm of powder in 1-3 L of drinking water and administer orally.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Neoxel Vet in dog is 20 mg/kg, given orally, once daily for 3-5 days. 20 mg / kg body weight for 3-5 days.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Neoxel Vet in cat is 20 mg/kg, given orally, once daily for 3-5 days. 20 mg / kg body weight for 3-5 days.
For treatment, the recommended dose of Neoxel Vet in cattle is 10 mg/kg, given orally, once daily for 3-5 days. 1 gm / 50 kg body weight (10 mg / kg body weight) for 3-5 days.
